This course is designed to certify armed guard to carry firearms upon successful completion. Students will be informed on escalation and de-escalation of force issues as well as using deadly physical force as justified by law. All students must demonstrate a knowledge and proficiency of armed security guard issues by passing a written test with a minimum score of 70 percent at the conclusion of the class. All students will also be required to display shooting proficiency by firing a 50 round qualification and achieving a score of at least 70 percent. In total a minimum of 200 rounds of ammunition will be used during this course. (range fees $25.00)

(AMMUNITION, RANGE FEES AND WEAPONS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE COST OF THIS COURSE. ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE A STANDARD DUTY TYPE REVOLVER OR SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL, HOLSTER AND AT LEAST TWO (2) MAGAZINES OR SPEED LOADERS FOR THIS COURSE. RENTALS MAY BE AVAILABLE.)

Armed classes are held ONLINE and in person. The first day of class is held online and the second day of class is "in person" RANGE day. Register today and complete the first day of the course ONLINE, an on demand, start and stop and resume as many times as you like, just be sure to complete the online portion of the class prior to the RANGE day. Before you register please note next available range day is  November 12, 2024 (range days could fill up while completing online portion.) Finally, there are 25-50% cancellations and reschedules, so there are opportunities to get in earlier range days, call for details.
